English: A fungus - Phlebia radiata This colourful fungus was growing about ten feet up, on a branch of a tree that was standing next to the corner of the road.
This species is sometimes listed under an older name, Phlebia merismoides. Its colour is quite variable, ranging from a dull purple or buff colour to the almost fluorescent orange that is seen here. It has a distinctive pattern of radiating ridges. For this species, the common name recommended by the British Mycological Society is "Wrinkled Crust".
